through multidisciplinary training in education, sociology, and social policy, ming focuses her research on deliberate and relational human development and its intersections with students’ life experiences and backgrounds, including gender, race, culture, and class, as well as the broader contexts in which they live and learn, such as family, community, peers, and school. she is particularly passionate about understanding the ways in which practices, programs, and institutions in a set of interactive, nested structures help or hinder whole, multi-dimensional child development.
prior to joining 2022年世界杯预选赛分组 , ming was a researcher at the houston education research consortium and kinder institute for urban research of rice university, working on a large-scale project studying students’ social and emotional skills in partnership with the organization for economic co-operation and development. this experience gave ming opportunities to engage in research-practice partnership work that equipped districts with equity-minded evidence.
