all students benefit from diverse educators, but districts in many states, including oregon, have struggled to reduce high rates of turnover among superintendents of color. in our new report, we partner with superintendents of color and education organizations in oregon to understand the lived experiences of superintendents of color in the state. the report shares their stories, strengths, and challenges as well as research-based recommendations to improve recruitment, hiring, and retention.
